You can search the web site by entering a word
or multiple words in the box at the top right
of each page.
1. Enter a single word
If you enter a single word, then the web site
is searched for any article which matches that
single word.
2. Enter multiple words
If you enter more than 1 word (e.g. Good
Friday), then the web site will be searched
for any article containing either Good
or Friday. You
may enter up to 20 characters in total into
the box.
3. Enter a phase
If you enter more than 1 word with speech marks
around them (e.g. "Good
Friday"), then the web site will
be searched for any article which contains that
exact phase.
How the search works
...
The search will look firstly at the text of
articles to find a match. Then it looks at the
article headers (title and section). Finally
it will look at chapter and sub-chapter details.
When matching items have been found, they display
in a list. Click 'view' to see the record. If
the search matches the text of an article, the
matching word(s) are highlighted and italicised.
Invalid entries ...
You must enter letters or number only. You can,
however, enter " marks at the start and
end of the entry to denote a phrase. The entry
must be a minimum of 2 characters.
